NORTHERN DEVELOPMENT AREA (NDA) ACCOMMODATION AND OFFICE FACILITY

WANDOAN, QLD | DECMIL (SHELL QGC)

$50M ($2.5M) | AUG 2021 to MAR 2022

Allstar was engaged by Decmil to assist in the delivery of dedicated accommodation and office facilities to support Shell QGC’s gas operations near Wandoan. The NDA facilities include office and accommodation buildings to support approximately 2000 people, ambulance and fire truck bays, bus shelters, a helicopter pad, bbq facilities and walkways.

OUR SCOPE:

In situ construction of all buildings and structures including concrete slabs and pier foot columns
Modular building installation
Erection of structural steel roofing
Supply and installation of new stormwater, water, sewer and electrical services
Construction of new footpaths, kerbs, driveways and car park

HIGHLIGHTS/CHALLENGES:

Regional site location
Labour resourcing delivered via a rolling roster, e.g. 3 weeks on, 1 week off
Numerous daily mass concrete pours up to 200m³+
Successfully delivered civil and building works package within timeframe
