NOOSA PARADE RISING SEWER MAIN UPGRADE

Our client Comdain has been delivering network water mains and sewer pump station D&C upgrades to Unitywater since 2007. Allstar was engaged in August 2021 to provide a civil component of the works to upgrade the Noosa Parade Rising Sewer Main. The project was delivered in a busy urban area requiring a detailed approach to stakeholder management to minimise disruption.

OUR SCOPE:

DN300 existing sewer main relining
Construction of new in situ valve pits and footpaths, kerbing and driveways
Asbestos pipe removal and disposal

HIGHLIGHTS/CHALLENGES:

Confined space entry
Deep excavation with shoring and sheet piling
Works delivered adjacent to road and pedestrian walkways within a populated and busy public tourist area
Works scheduled around peak holiday periods to avoid water and sewer disruptions
Dewatering environmental systems successfully implemented
Suspended works and fully demobilised during Bank Holiday and Noosa Triathlon
