Allstar Loganholme Project

HIGHLIGHTS/CHALLENGES:

  • Restricted work areas

  • Multiple work fronts with only one gantry crane

  • Concrete placement 20m below ground

  • Weather dependent: development of emergency / contingency plans if wet weather was to develop resulting in releasing valves to flood wet well

  • Removed of over 50T of concrete rubble from existing structure

  • Utilised innovative remote demolition robot to reduce manual handling and fatigue inducing jackhammering

  • Safely delivered the works in parallel with other contractors (SIMOPS)

  • Over 50T of concrete removed over 20m plus below ground level

  • Innovative construction methods used to optimise schedule

  • Challenged design to create less intensive work methodologies

  • Use of demolition robot to minimise personal entering confined space environments
