INDOOROOPILLY ROUNDABOUT UPGRADE PROJECT

ONGOING PROGRAM of WORKS | JUNE 2022 to DEC 2023

As QBCC licence holders, Allstar are supporting Georgiou Group with a large portion of works inside residential and industrial properties as part of the Indooroopilly Roundabout Upgrade.

Allstar were awarded various Building & Civil contracts as part of Stage 1 of the $183M Moggill Road Corridor Upgrade project by repeat client GEORGIOU.

The project involves construction of an overpass from Coonan St over Moggill Rd which will improve traffic flow, safety and active transport options, as well as cater to existing and future traffic demands.

OUR SCOPE:

Supply of Project Management to support Georgiou / BSS Design and delivery teams
Deconstruction and Reconstruction of structures such as retaining walls, driveway piers, driveways, pedestrian ways, kerbs, gully’s etc
Asbestos removal as asbestos removal licence holders
Realignment of water, sewer, stormwater, electrical & communication mains
Engagement of electrical delivery partners to provide temporary power supply during residential & industrial building works
Procuring and reinstating residential & industrial hardware such as gates into driveways and pedestrian ways, post boxes, lighting poles, boundary fencing etc
Allstar certified plumbers are involved with the decommissioning Fire Hydrant boosters, setting up temporary Fire Hydrant booster, installation & commissioning of industrial Fire Hydrant booster

HIGHLIGHTS/CHALLENGES:

Allstar team awarded the Outstanding Safety Award during the project
Engagement and communication with multiple stakeholders: QLD Fire Service, Brisbane City Council, Urban Utilities, TMR, Small Business Owners, Westfield Complex, Fuel Stations (BP, Caltex), APA, Energex, Residents and various contractors
Works occurring throughout peak traffic periods on busy intersections
