ONGOING PROGRAM of WORKS | APR 2020 to 2025

Allstar is supporting the Downer | WSP team to deliver a capital works program to upgrade sewer pipes and maintenance holes across Brisbane, Ipswich and Lockyer Valley suburbs. The upgrades will future proof Urban Utilities' network reliability and ensure safe long-term service delivery to the community. Requiring a high-level of stakeholder and authority liaison engagement, the location for works delivery includes private properties, commercial properties, critical customer properties, roads and state-controlled roads and parklands, bushlands and creeks.

OUR SCOPE:

Sewer and manhole condition assessments
Manhole and pipeline renewals

HIGHLIGHTS/CHALLENGES:

Problematic environments: tidal ground conditions and collapsible excavation due to ground conditions
Management of groundwater and temporary diversion of water ingress during works delivery
Installation of sheet piles and shoring systems
Confined Space Entries throughout construction of manholes
Working within vicinity of live assets (e.g electrical and high pressure gas mains)
Working near school zones and busy residential areas
Brisbane City Council completed road upgrades during same period (SIMOPS)
ZERO asset strikes
ZERO impacts to Urban Utilities customers during wastewater isolations.
